Calculations are provided "as-is" for convenience. We are not responsible for failed recipes, wasted ingredients, or mathematical rounding limits. Always use basic culinary judgment.
2. Dietary & Allergen Safety
Gluten-free substitution ratios provide structural baking guidelines, not medical advice. We do not guarantee recipes are safe for Celiac or severe allergy sufferers. Users must verify their physical ingredients are certified allergen-free.
3. Hardware & Kitchen Environment
Features like "Kitchen Mode" (screen wake-lock) are used at your own risk. We are not liable for screen burn-in, battery depletion, or physical damage to devices sustained while cooking.
4. Data Privacy
This suite respects your privacy. All calculations occur locally in your browser. Preferences (like Dark Mode) are saved via local storage. We do not harvest, track, or sell your culinary data.
5. Intellectual Property
Personal and professional kitchen use is encouraged. Automated scraping of our preset dictionaries, framing on external domains, or commercial redistribution of our calculation engines is strictly prohibited.

Our mathematical engines process conversions based on standard kitchen reference densities (e.g. 1 US cup of flour is evaluated at 120 grams). However, because density shifts due to humidity and how packed volume measures are, slight weight deviations will occur. We recommend using weight-based baking (grams) for maximum accuracy.
Kitchen Mode utilizes the standard Screen Wake Lock API to prevent your phone or tablet display from dimming while cooking. Because this keeps the display illuminated, it consumes more battery life. We recommend plugging in your device during prolonged baking sessions and disabling Kitchen Mode when you are finished.
No. ScaleBake is a local-first application. All processing, scaling math, conversions, and copy actions occur strictly client-side inside your browser sandbox. We do not transmit, analyze, scrape, or store your recipes, ingredients, or custom formulas on any remote database.
Yes, personal, home kitchen, and commercial baking usages are encouraged. However, commercial replication or redistribution of our underlying code engines, preset databases, or layout structure on other websites or apps is strictly prohibited.
